Internal Sales and Purchasing Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and organised Internal Sales \& Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales support, purchasing, and general office administration.
Key Responsibilities
\- Processing customer enquiries and preparing quotations.
\- Receiving and processing customer orders accurately.
\- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
\- Liaising with suppliers to obtain prices, availability, and delivery information.
\- Raising purchase orders and monitoring supplier deliveries.
\- Managing stock replenishment and helping maintain appropriate inventory levels.
\- Resolving customer and supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
\- Working closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.
\- Maintaining accurate records using the company's software system.
\- Supporting the sales team with day\-to\-day administrative tasks.
\- Assisting in achieving company sales and customer service objectives.
The Ideal Candidate
\- Previous experience in an internal sales, customer service, purchasing, or office administration role.
\- Experience within the fastener, engineering, industrial, or distribution sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
\- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
\- Confident using Microsoft Office and computer\-based business systems.
\- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
\- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
\- A team player who can also work independently.
