Multi\-Skilled Bakery Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Multi\-Skilled Bakery Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our bakery production equipment, ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and minimal downtime in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding, diagnosis and repair of all types of equipment.


• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.


• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.


• Identify root causes of recurring faults and implement long\-term engineering solutions.


• Work closely with production teams to maximise machine uptime and optimise manufacturing processes.


• Apply a strong multi\-skilled engineering approach.


• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health \& safety, food safety and company standards.

Requirements

• Recognised engineering qualification (SVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Engineering)


• Five years' engineering experience (including apprenticeship).


• Strong electrical and mechanical fault\-finding experience.


• Experience working within a food manufacturing, bakery or FMCG environment is desirable.


• Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and HACCP principles.


• Flexible approach to working hours, and support outside business hours.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.


• IT experience.
