UK Electronics Ltd is continuing to grow, and we are looking for experienced people to join our manufacturing team in three permanent positions:

  • Surface Mount Inspection and Rework Technician

  • Through\-Hole Assembler

  • Mechanical Assembler
UK Electronics Ltd became an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) company in 2023, giving our employees a genuine stake in the company’s future success. With an ever\-growing order book and continued investment in our people, equipment and facilities, this is an exciting time to join the business.

We currently operate from a 12,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, which is being extended by a further 50% as part of our continued growth.

Surface Mount Inspection and Rework Technician

We are looking for an experienced individual with strong surface\-mount inspection and rework skills.

The successful candidate should have experience in:

  • Inspecting surface\-mount assemblies to a high standard

  • Identifying component, placement and soldering defects

  • Carrying out component removal, replacement and detailed rework

  • Working accurately with small components

  • Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
Previous experience within electronics manufacturing is essential.

Through\-Hole Assembler

We are looking for an experienced, all\-round through\-hole assembler who can work confidently across a variety of products.

The successful candidate should have experience in:

  • Through\-hole component preparation and placement

  • Hand soldering to a high standard

  • Working from drawings, bills of materials and assembly instructions or samples.

  • Inspecting their own work and identifying potential quality issues

  • Working on both small batches and repeat production
A good general understanding of electronics assembly and proven experience in a similar role are required.

Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for an experienced mechanical assembler with a strong employment history in similar roles.

The successful candidate should have experience in:

  • Mechanical assembly and product build

  • Working from drawings and detailed assembly instructions

  • Fitting enclosures, fixings, wiring, sub\-assemblies and associated hardware

  • Using hand tools safely and accurately

  • Completing work to defined quality standards

  • Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Experience within electronics, engineering or a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.

  • Experienced and dependable

  • Quality\-focused with excellent attention to detail

  • Able to follow written instructions and production documentation

  • Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment

  • Flexible and willing to support the wider production team
All three roles are permanent positions and are subject to the successful completion of a three\-month probationary period.

Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
