As an Industrial Electrical Fitter (NICEIC), you will be required to carry out inspections, planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including high\-voltage (HV) and low\-voltage (LV) electrical networks.
- You will have the flexibility to travel and work away from home when required, including possible overnight stays.

- Carry out substation inspections to identify any potential/existing issues
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including LV and HV networks
- Investigating and diagnosing faults, ensuring timely and effective repairs
- Fabricate and fix cable trays, trunking, and conduits
- Building and wiring switchgear and control/protection panels
- Working from electrical drawings and schematics
- Installing cables, components, and assemblies
- Testing and inspecting completed work (NICEIC)
- Able to decipher construction drawings to verify material lists and use their experience to plan the task in hand including assisting in producing the RAMS for the activities.
- Ensure materials are used economically and unused materials are returned to stores, arrange for all scrap materials to be removed from site in a safe manner at the end of each job.
- Carry out tasks in line with the works program, in a diligent manner, ensuring the work is done in an efficient, cost effective, and professional like manner, producing work of high quality
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including job reports, permits, and risk assessments.
- Operate and maintain tools, plant, and equipment safely
- Adhere to all Serconnect, client and industry safety procedures, including wearing the mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any accidents, incidents, or near\-misses to the HSEQ team
- Follow all relevant risk assessments and method statements.
- Work in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, DNO/IDNO requirements, and ENA/G81 standards
- Adhere to a safety\-first culture when working across all teams and subcontractors
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment with the ability to deal with rapidly changing business conditions (essential)
- Proven experience working ideally within an ICP or DNO/IDNO environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with DNO/IDNO standards and practices \- (desirable)
- Previous experience working within live substation environments \- (desirable)
- Experience in CT metering and COP installs \- (essential)
- An understanding of safety procedures for working with high voltages \- (desirable)
- Proven experience in electrical fitting or maintenance within an industrial or commercial environment (essential)
- Experience in the power distribution or utilities industry (HV/LV networks) \- (desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams/schematics (essential)
- Experience in fitting/removing/synchronising generators \- (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety rules, isolation procedures, and permit\-to\-work systems \- (essential)
- Competent in interpreting technical drawings and network diagrams \- (essential)
- Strong focus on safety, including understanding risk assessments and work statements \- (essential)
- Recognised trade qualification in electrical engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City \& Guilds, or apprenticeship) \- (desirable)
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces when required \- (essential)
- Experience in installation of multi\-service distribution boards \- (desirable)
- MEWP, pole climbing, and confined space certifications \- (desirable)
- Strong problem\-solving skills and a desire to find the best solutions \- (essential)

- Previous experience in the installation/glanding and terminating of cables incl. multicore \- (essential)

Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, 07:30\-17:00 (5pm).

Your Pay
Pay is dependent on experience and skills, which are outlined in the job description. Your starting salary will be £50,500\.00 per annum, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications already obtained.
