Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Manager to lead our human resources initiatives and foster a positive, productive workplace environment. The HR Manager is responsible for leading the HR department, driving people management strategies, and ensuring that human resources initiatives are implemented effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of HR operations, from talent acquisition and employee relations to compliance and data management. Your energetic approach will drive strategic HR projects, enhance employee engagement, and ensure our company remains a great place to work. Responsibilities
- Support the alignment of the people strategy with business strategy.
- Provide professional leadership, support and development to the HR function to increase knowledge, share best practice and ensure that relevant professional standards are met.
- Drive the continuous improvement agenda with focus on engagement \& wellbeing activities, maximising productivity, and building leadership capability.
- Execute the recruitment strategy effectively by developing creative practices and policies that identify, source, assess and hire the best talent to meet current and future business needs.
- Manage the hiring process including advertising vacancies, screening and interviewing candidates, and completing the relevant checks for successful candidates .
- Manage the induction process from the offer being accepted to completion of the probation period acting as the first point of contact for new employees. Ensuring relevant paperwork has been completed.
- Manage the HR administration process ensuring that employee files are complete and up to date.
- Coordinate our payroll process and liaise with external provider as required. Ensure statutory payments are processed following guidelines including SSP and SMP.
- Manage employee benefits including pension and insurance benefits.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR when handling employee data.
- Oversee the company training programmes including graduate surveyors, apprentice surveyors, and work experience students to attract and nurture talent from schools and colleges.
- Lead the L\&D function including training needs analysis, and arranging and delivering training initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement by developing internal communication strategies, processes, tools and training.
- Execute talent management programmes including performance management, learning and development and total reward.
- Develop and manage the wellbeing strategy.
- Execute a plan for equality, diversity, and inclusion that aligns with company values, business strategy, and commitments.
