MemoryBlock transforms customers’ favourite photographs into beautiful personalised keepsakes, printed and handcrafted on the spot. Customers can bring a photo on their phone and receive their personalised MemoryBlock in minutes.
We are launching a new MemoryBlock kiosk at Whitewater Shopping Centre, Newbridge, and we’re looking for an energetic, commercially minded Kiosk Manager to take ownership of the day\-to\-day operation.
The Role
As Kiosk Manager, you will be the face of MemoryBlock at Whitewater and will be responsible for creating an engaging customer experience, driving sales and ensuring the kiosk operates smoothly every day.
This is more than a traditional retail role. We are looking for someone who enjoys talking to customers, selling, creating personalised products and building a new business locally.
Key Responsibilities
Customer \& Sales
- Proactively engage with customers passing the kiosk.
- Introduce customers to MemoryBlock and demonstrate how the product works.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Convert enquiries into sales and work towards daily and weekly sales targets.
- Create an excellent and memorable customer experience.
- Handle customer questions, feedback and after\-sales queries.
- Assist customers in selecting photographs and designs.
- Process customer orders accurately.
- Operate MemoryBlock printing equipment following training and procedures.
- Check finished products for quality before handing them to customers.
- Ensure orders are completed within the expected turnaround time.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain excellent kiosk presentation and visual merchandising.
- Monitor product and packaging stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation.
- Handle transactions and basic sales administration.
- Follow company procedures for cash handling, customer data and equipment.
- Support and supervise part\-time team members.
- Organise day\-to\-day staff activities and shift coverage.
- Train new team members on customer service, sales and kiosk procedures.
- Lead by example and create a positive team environment.
- Help build awareness of MemoryBlock within the Newbridge community.
- Identify local opportunities including schools, sports clubs, photographers, events and community organisations.
- Support promotional activities and social\-media content.
- Help develop the kiosk into a recognised local personalised\-gifting destination.
- Previous retail, sales, customer\-service or supervisory experience.
- Confident and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable approaching and engaging customers proactively.
- Commercially minded and motivated by achieving sales.
- Good attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Comfortable learning new technology and printing equipment.
- Creative mindset and an eye for presentation.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and busy shopping periods.
- Previous experience with Photoshop or image\-editing software would be an advantage.
- Experience managing or mentoring other staff would be an advantage.
- Full training on MemoryBlock products, sales techniques and equipment.
