HOLIDAY HOME ENGINEER
Salop Leisure, one of the country’s leading holiday home and touring caravan distributors and aftersales providers, are looking to appoint an engineer to meet demand in our touring aftersales workshops. We take pride in offering great customer service to our many customers who choose to come back to us time and time again.
We are looking for a caravanengineer to join our well\-established team. You will be responsible for the regular servicing and repair of our stock and customers caravans. You must have excellent customer skills and the ability to plan and manage your own time.
Ideally experienced in this line of work or possessing similar transferable skills, the successful applicant must have a hands\-on, 'can\-do' attitude with previous experience and confidence to work with a variety of tools. The ability to learn, problem solve, be confident in speaking and dealing with customers and the capability to be flexible will also be advantageous.
Repairing a caravan requires several basic skills in Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical and Engineering. We welcome applications from candidates who feel they offer these skills even if they do not currently hold industry standard qualifications. Full training will be provided with the opportunity to gain qualifications in the future.
Duties include –
- Servicing caravans
- Internal and External repairs
- Interior fittings
- Accessory fittings
- Gas and Electrical testing
- Damp testing
- Habitation checks
- Insurance work
- Manufacturer's warranty work
- Pre\-delivery inspections
- General Customer Service
- Hours of work: 7\.30 to 5\.00 p.m. 5 days per week. Weekend working will be required on a rota.
- Wage – dependent on experience/qualifications. Overtime rate is payable after 40 hours per week.
