Job Title \- Cleaning Operative
Location \- Darwin Shopping Centre
Rate of Pay \- £12\.71
Hours \- 10 hours per month minimum \- cover holidays/sickness

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the responsible manager to maintain a safe and clean environment. To assure that the company standards and policies are followed and maintained.

By addressing site operational needs to cover colleagues who may be absent or taking annual leave, on elements of the sites' operations. Shifts may be 6am starts, 7\.30pm cover as well as weekend cover.

The role will have potential to vastly exceed the minimum hours listed.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibility would be to maintain the cleanliness of the outlet to a very high standard by performing the following duties:

• The vacuuming of matting or carpets


• By using the correct equipment clean escalator


• Sweep, mop and wipe down lifts


• Wipe down glass (doors, panels and windows)


• Clean, mop and disinfect all toilet areas, cubicles and sinks


• Wash or wipe where necessary all walls, pillars and surfaces


• Wash or wipe where necessary all furniture, fixtures and fittings


• Empty and wipe down all external bins


• Wipe down and re\-stock cleaning trolleys


• Mall flooring: to include use of machinery dry mopping, spillages, litter and debris clearing


• Cleaning of fixtures and fittings on mall, including high level posts, canopy spot cleans utilising provided specific equipment


• Clean via dusting, polishing and vacuuming management suite, workshop office, and staff areas


• Use PDA system to assist with scheduled cleaning tasks, accident and incident control and prevention


• To ensure all work is carried out in a safe, proper and thorough manner taking into account health and safety legislation, Incentive FM policies and procedures, risk assessments and method statements


• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information


• Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person


• Keep your cleaning area and space clean and tidy at all times and your cleaning materials safely stored


• Be familiar with the required cleaning standards and regulations governing your job role


• Maintain polite and good communication with your colleagues, brand partners and shoppers at all times


• Be prepared to receive and undertake further training as required


• At all times to follow through any managerial instructions
