Main purpose of job:
Dietl is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our team at our Hayes, Middlesex location.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of artworks and associated materials between client sites, galleries, museums, storage facilities, and exhibitions. You will ensure all items are transported securely and professionally while maintaining full compliance with road transport legislation and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV vehicles in accordance with all road traffic legislation and company policies.
- Transport artworks and associated materials between locations in a secure and professional manner.
- Carry out pre\- and post\-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure loads are secured appropriately and transported safely.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, delivery records, and associated documentation.
- Adhere to tachograph regulations and driver working time requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading activities where required.
- Work closely with warehouse and operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as an HGV Driver within a transport or logistics environment.
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with an up\-to\-date CPC.
- Good understanding of transport compliance and road safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience handling high\-value or sensitive goods is advantageous.
