Build a Career in Technical Sales
Climacold is looking for an ambitious Graduate Technical Sales Executive to join our growing cold room business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants more than just a graduate job.
We are looking for someone we can train and develop into a highly capable technical salesperson, with the opportunity to progress into Technical Sales Management and Business Development as the company grows. You don't need previous refrigeration experience. We'll provide the product and technical training. What we're looking for is someone with the personality, intelligence, ambition and commercial drive to succeed in sales.
About Climacold
Climacold designs, manufactures and supplies commercial cold rooms and temperature\- controlled solutions to customers throughout the UK. Our customers range from restaurants, food producers and commercial businesses through to refrigeration and air\-conditioning contractors purchasing cold rooms for their own customers.
Our approach is based around providing customers with high\-quality bespoke cold rooms, competitive pricing, fast turnaround and excellent technical support. We are now looking for someone to help us grow both our direct end\-user sales and our network of trade customers.
The Role
You'll be involved in the complete sales process, from receiving an initial enquiry through to securing the order. You'll learn how to understand a customer's requirements, specify the appropriate cold room solution, prepare quotations and professionally follow up opportunities. But this isn't simply an order\-taking role. A major part of your job will be developing new business. You'll proactively identify and contact refrigeration contractors, air\-conditioning companies, installers and other potential trade customers, introducing them to Climacold and developing
long\-term relationships.
The objective is simple:
Turn enquiries into customers and customers into long\-term accounts.
What You'll Be Doing
\- Responding to new sales enquiries
\- Speaking with customers by telephone, email and online
\- Understanding and qualifying customer requirements
\- Learning how to specify commercial cold rooms
\- Preparing and following up quotations
\- Developing relationships with existing customers
\- Proactively contacting potential new trade customers
\- Opening new refrigeration and air\-conditioning trade accounts
\- Following up sales opportunities systematically
\- Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity information within our CRM
\- Working closely with our technical and production teams
\- Developing your knowledge of refrigeration and temperature\-controlled environments
\- Achieving agreed sales, margin and new\-account targets
Who We're Looking For
We're more interested in who you are and what you could become than how much refrigeration experience you already have. You'll probably be a graduate or someone in the early stages of your commercial career.
You may have studied:
● Business or Management
● Marketing
● Engineering
● Building Services
● Construction
● Mechanical Engineering
● Another technical or commercially focused subject
However, we will consider applicants from other backgrounds who can demonstrate strong commercial potential.
You'll Need To Be
Confident – you're comfortable speaking with customers and aren't afraid to pick up the telephone.
Curious – you ask questions rather than simply accepting the information you're given.
Commercially minded – you're interested in business, customers, competitors and what makes people buy.
Ambitious – you want to progress, take responsibility and increase your earning potential.
Persistent – you understand that successful selling often comes from professional follow\- up.
Organised – you can manage multiple enquiries, quotations and follow\-up activities.
Technically minded – you don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable learning about technical products.
Competitive – targets motivate rather than frighten you. Above all, we're looking for someone who genuinely wants to build a career in technical sales and business development.
