The Role
------------

As a Senior Homecare Nurse, you'll be a key member of our innovative and patient\-focused clinical team. Supporting the Clinical Team Manager (CTM), you'll help deliver safe, high\-quality nursing services while ensuring compliance with clinical governance, regulatory standards and company policies.

This full\-time blended role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities. You'll act as a clinical role model, support regional nursing teams, contribute to service development and help achieve operational and clinical objectives while living HealthNet's values.

Clinical Responsibilities
-----------------------------

  • Deliver safe, effective, patient\-centred care in line with HealthNet procedures, client requirements and NMC standards.

  • Administer Subcutaneous therapies and provide remote guidance for Intravenous therapies, including mid and high\-tech treatments.

  • Educate and assess patients and carers to safely self\-administer treatments where appropriate.

  • Conduct virtual appointments, telephone consultations and manage therapy helplines as part of Patient Support Programmes.

  • Support smooth transitions from hospital to home, improving patient outcomes and treatment adherence.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HealthNet procedures and NMC requirements.

  • Participate in clinical governance, audits, supervision and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain professional competence through CPD, mandatory training and NMC revalidation.

  • Work with Commercial and Clinical teams to support service development and new business opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements and contractual requirements.

  • Maintain clinical equipment and nursing supplies.

  • Promote a positive team culture and consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.

  • Support induction, competency assessments and Train the Trainer activities.

  • Maintain compliance with data protection and information governance requirements.
Leadership Responsibilities

  • Support the Clinical Team Manager in delivering safe, compliant and effective nursing services.

  • Assist with clinical governance, audits and quality assurance activities.

  • Support complaint handling and incident investigations.

  • Act as a first point of contact for nursing queries, providing guidance and escalating where appropriate.

  • Conduct delegated one\-to\-one meetings and support colleague development.

  • Help coordinate team meetings and communicate organisational updates.

  • Support recruitment, induction, training and competency sign\-off for new nurses.

  • Maintain accurate competency and training records.

  • Support colleagues with NMC revalidation.

  • Participate in the clinical on\-call rota when required.
What We're Looking For

Experience


  • Experience within community or homecare nursing.

  • Competent in administering Subcutaneous and Intravenous therapies.

  • Skilled in cannulation and phlebotomy.

  • Strong clinical assessment and decision\-making skills.

  • Experience managing complex medication regimes.

  • Confident using electronic patient records and digital consultation platforms.

  • Experience supporting clinical governance and patient education is desirable.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Adult or Children's Nurse (Part 1 NMC Register).

  • Current NMC registration.
Desirable
  • Clinical teaching qualification (ENB 998, C\&G 730 or equivalent).

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development.
