Graduate Assembler Engineering Scheme

Start your engineering career in a hands\-on, high\-precision environment.

At Novanta, you work on technology used in medical devices, advanced manufacturing, and robotics. This role suits a recent graduate who wants to build practical skills quickly and progress into engineering.

What you will do:

• Assemble precision mechanical and electronic components to tight tolerances


• Work from drawings, schematics, and work instructions to build and test assemblies


• Support modification, rework, and testing of sub\-assemblies


• Identify and report issues, including raising non\-conformance reports (NCRs)


• Maintain a clean, safe, and quality\-focused workspace


• Contribute to team tasks and continuous improvement activity

• Degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering


• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances


• Good communication skills and a willingness to learn quickly


• Self\-motivated with a team\-first mindset


• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured production environment


• Basic MS Office skills

• Work on real products used globally in healthcare and advanced manufacturing


• Build practical experience that supports progression into manufacturing or design engineering


• Exposure to high\-spec electro\-optical and laser technologies
