I am Bernie Harris, I founded illumX in 2019 following previous 20 years \+ in this unique and very cool industry. Our small but expanding team invents, designs, engineers and manufactures neon signs and displays predominately for the drink industry, check out www.illumX.com. All products are custom manufactured at our factory in Guangdong Province, China. We are a truly international business with clients based all over the world, our biggest growth area is currently the USA. Our clients are the brands, and the agencies that procure for the brands.

About the candidate

For the right person this could be a truly unique opportunity. I am looking for a person possessing a unique sense of drive and ambition and a unique thinker. You need to understand client urgency, be proactive and think on your feet and never give up solving difficult problems. You must be confident and click with people on all levels. You must have sales ability, be commercially minded and have the ability to see opportunities that others may miss. Since we are an international business, a command of other European languages would be a distinct advantage, especially being fluent in French. Ideally you'll have relevant or connected industry experience. You'll help grow our business by developing and working with clients. We would prefer office based, however, would consider hybrid for the right person. Maybe find a unique way to convince me you are the right person for this opportunity.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, winning new clients, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal applicant will possess strong IT proficiency, time management skills, and a customer\-focused mindset to drive growth and maintain long\-term partnerships.

Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities globally, in the drinks sector and introduce our company to new markets for instance tobacco derivative products.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.

  • Possibly look at setting up distributors, longer term.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and efficiently.

  • Collaborate internally to ensure client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time.

  • Organise meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to support sales efforts inside and outside of our HQ.

  • Manage a pipeline of prospects and maintain organised records of interactions.

  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes through effective time management and organisational skills.
Experience
  • Knowledge of our industry or related industries would be advantageous for instance Point of Purchase advertising 'POP' or Point of Sale advertising POS, or drinks industry experiences.

  • Proven experience in account management and be able to show recent wins.

  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of landing projects.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal with an international outlook for instance, second or third languages an advantage.

  • International travel may be required, therefore you must be able to travel without restrictions.

  • Proficiency in IT systems, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.

  • Ability to manage many projects and organise each job professionally is essential.

  • Knowledge of logistics, compliance would be ideal but not essential

  • Experience with dealing with international suppliers would be advantageous.
