The Role

NHS Lanarkshire Lung Cancer Specialist Nursing Service are seeking applications from highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic registered nurses to join their team. Experienced registered nurses who are committed to providing quality evidence based breast cancer care, with a personal commitment to life\-long learning aligned to the NES NMAHP framework and ACCEND, are welcomed to apply.

The role of the Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist is highly specialised to deliver high\-quality, patient\-centred care with a specialist focus on lung cancer diagnostics and management. The post holder will provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary lung cancer service, ensuring timely, equitable and evidence\-based care across the lung cancer diagnostic pathway, in line with the Scottish Government Cancer Strategies and the West of Scotland Cancer Managed Clinical Network priorities.

In this key role, you will:

  • Develop advanced competence, innovation and leadership in the management and delivery of safe, effective person\-centred care within own area of practice.

  • Provide strong and effective leadership across professional and organisational teams/boundaries.

  • Role model exemplary facilitation and teaching skills and develop those skills in others.

  • Acts as a role model for the wider team by promoting a positive research culture.
What You'll Bring:
  • Registered Healthcare practitioner with valid UK Registration (NMC / HCPC)

  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level

  • Post graduate\* expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.

  • A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
