COMPASSIONATE CARE ASSISTANTS

Glenkindie Lodge is a 33\-bed Residential Care Home in Desborough, Northamptonshire providing care for residents who are elderly, many with dementia. We are passionate and committed towards providing high\-quality care in a ‘home\-from\-home’ environment.

We continue to make improvements to the environment, care and governance to create a better living and working environment for our valued residents, visitors and our employees.

About the roles:

As Compassionate Care Assistant, you will play important and integral roles within our care team, helping us deliver high standards of care to our deserving residents. These are varied roles however the main duties will/may include (based on the role):

  • Reporting to the Senior Carer or in\-charge, supporting and guiding the team with daily personal care responsibilities.

  • Review and maintaining up\-to\-date care records and ensure maintaining high care standards.

  • Supporting residents and dealing with personal care with compassion.

  • Building professional, warm and friendly relationships with our residents, providing physical \& emotional support and promoting quality of life.

  • Delivering a warm and friendly service, in welcoming relatives and healthcare professionals to our Home.

About You
  • For the Carer role, At least 1 year work experience in Care Home is preferable.

  • NVQ 2 (or equivalent) or above in Health and Social Care is preferred and the willingness to progress.

  • Experience of person\-centered care.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of our residents.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of CQC regulations.

  • Knowledge \& understanding of dementia.

  • Experience and willingness to carryout training.

  • Flexible working is advantageous.

  • Team player, role model with compassion, enthusiasm, drive and confidence to make a collective improvement to the overall care and well\-being of our residents.
Start Date

Immediate, subject to:

  • Receipt of satisfactory references

  • Receipt of evidence of completed training

  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS checks

  • Completion of induction training
Pay: £12\.71 per hour
