Freelance Event Manager
Overview
Stade and Plate is an independent catering company based in Chertsey within very close proximity to the station and centre.
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and hands\-on Event Manager to oversee the successful delivery of events. This role is focused on event operations, execution, and on\-site management rather than event planning and sales.
The successful candidate will ensure events run smoothly from setup through to breakdown, coordinating staff, suppliers, and venue operations while maintaining exceptional standards of customer service and health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the operational delivery of events including corporate functions, hospitality events, private celebrations and weddings.
Manage event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure all client requirements are met.
Coordinate front\-of\-house, Kitchen and bar staff during live events.
Act as the primary on\-site point of contact for clients.
Conduct pre\-event operational briefings with staff and supervisors.
Monitor event timelines and resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company procedures.
Oversee stock control, equipment usage, and venue presentation standards.
Complete post\-event reporting and provide feedback to improve future operations.
Support the Operations Manager with venue and event logistics as required.
Pay: £15\.00\-£18\.00 per hour
