Swim Programme Manager– Premium Family Health Club in Surrey

· Hours – 40 hours per week
· Salary \- £31,000
We are looking for a Swim Programme Manager to have responsibility of a renowned swimming business in the heart of Surrey.
As Swim Programme Manager you will be responsible for delivering a consistently excellent level of results and customer service through a well\-coached and engaged team of In\-House Swimming Instructors.
You will solely be responsible for the operational performance, management of the Swim Instructors, Swim Program, and commercial success of the Swim business.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to carry out the following tasks and responsibilities;
· Manage and develop the implementation and administration of our Swimming programme to meet the requirements of Swim England’s National Plan for teaching, including preparing lesson plans.
· A strong ‘Business Ownership’ mentality and relish the opportunity to have significant autonomy and empowerment in managing this part of the business.
· Responsible for meeting the Swimming Course acquisition and participation numbers, along with the associated budgetary revenue lines.
· Develop strong relationships with our customers and potential customers, dealing with day to day administration and enquiries.
· Operate an effective booking system and manage the development pathway for the children on our programmes to ensure optimal programming and course occupancy results.
· The ability to manage your team to effectively deliver great customer service, and child enjoyment in the pool.
· Manage your team through KPI’s and performance management, appraisals, one on one mentoring along with training and development.
· Responsible for managing and effectively overseeing all human resources and payroll of the swim teachers, which requires professional diligence.
· Work with the General Manager and Central Support Team in developing the marketing and sales strategy for the Adult/Children Swimming Lesson Programme and other pool related programmes, including crash courses and summer camps.
· Look to develop further business opportunities and revenue lines for the club swimming pool.
· Assist in the operations of the activity of the swimming programme by teaching and covering any necessary hours.
· Effectively manage any concerns relating to child safeguarding in a timely manner, in accordance with our safeguarding policy.
· Take personal responsibility for all hygiene, health and safety policies and procedures, developing a strong culture of safety amongst your team.
· Responsible for the management of all swimming aids used to effectively and safely deliver the swimming lessons.
· Ability to effectively network within the community to positively promote the Swimming Lessons to local schools and other institutions within the borough.
· Support the club’s management in other areas of the business as and when required.
You must have;
· ASA / Swim England full teachers certificate level 2
· Experience of managing, supervising, coaching, and developing a team.
· A good understanding of health and safety and employment legislation.
· Excellent verbal communication in building trust and rapport with children and parents.
· Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the swimming programme and operations of the business.
