Forklift Driver / combi lift / overhead crane operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver / Combi Lift / Overhead Crane Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves operating various types of lifting equipment to safely and efficiently handle materials, ensuring smooth shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as required. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, combi lift, and overhead crane equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse


• Manage materials handling tasks with precision to ensure safety and efficiency


• Assist with Loading and unloading processes (goods in goods out), including documentation and job updates


• Utilise warehouse systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately


• Perform load securing and ensure all items are safely transported within the facility


• Support stock organisation, storage, and retrieval activities in accordance with safety protocols


• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain a clean, organised work environment

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklift, overhead crane, or combi lift in a warehouse setting


• Knowledge of equipment repair and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills


• Experience in materials handling, shipping \& receiving procedures, and inventory control


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis


• Basic maths skills for measurement, counting, and documentation purposes


• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn
