Experienced CAD Designer/ CNC & Project Coordinator

Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated CAD Designer / Project Coordinator to join our small team. The successful candidate will have experience using Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling and sheet metal design, along with practical workshop knowledge in fabrication and CNC machining.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor


• Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies


• Prepare files and toolpaths for CNC machining using Vectric software


• Operate and maintain 3\-axis CNC machinery (or have reasonable knowledge of this machine)


• Work closely with production and fabrication team to ensure designs are manufacturable


• Support prototype development and product improvements


• Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

• Experience using Autodesk Inventor, particularly for:


• Sheet metal design


• Brief understanding of 3D modelling


• Technical drawing production


• Experience operating 3\-axis CNC machines


• Familiarity with Vectric software


• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Good problem\-solving and attention to detail

• Hands on sheet metal fabrication


• Working with plastic sheet materials


• Understanding of CNC tooling, feeds and machining processes


• Workshop or production environment

• Practical hands on approach


• Organised and detailed\-oriented


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Good communication skills

• £35,000 \- 55,000 Depending on experience
