Electric Gate Engineer

Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Electric Gate Engineer to join an extremely reputable, family\-run SME based in Farnham. For this role you will be joining a team of field engineers to repair, install and maintain electric gates to an industry leading standard. You will be working with a professional field and office based team, and will be provided with a quality, fully equipped and stocked van and all other tools and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 3\-years’ experience installing, repairing, and fault\-finding gate automation/access control equipment.


• Come from an electro – mechanical background.


• Can weld on site.


• Have experience in fault finding and programming PCB's.


• Willing to carry out some overtime when required.

• Install, commission, and configure electric gate systems in accordance with schematics and system design specifications


• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot


• Investigating faults reported to a very thorough standard.


• Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment


• Make recommendations for upgrades required or desirable for compliance or reliability reasons.


• Inspecting installs for compliance with safety standards.


• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards


• Document service activities accurately for maintenance records


• Written and photographic reporting on findings in a coherent and comprehensive manner.


• Communicating with clients clearly and professionally.

• Proven experience in electrical installation or maintenance


• Mechanical knowledge relevant to gate mechanisms and construction processes


• Excellent problem\-solving skills with a keen eye for detail


• Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical engineering or related fields are desirable


• Compliance with safety standards


• DHF or Gate safe qualification


• Experience of installation, upgrade and repair of all types of automated gates


• Enhanced DBS certificated verified clear (can be provided)

Salary: – £30,000 – £40,000 \+ Training \+ Progression \+ Over time

Company vehicle: – Company van \+ fuel card

Holidays: – 24 days holiday plus bank holidays

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
