Outbuildings Dorset is a family\-run farm hotel nestled in the West Dorset countryside. With twelve individually designed rooms, destination dining and thoughtfully curated experiences, we offer a place where adults can slow down, reconnect and feel completely at ease.
We’re looking for a Deputy Housekeeping Manager to support our Housekeeping Manager in leading one of the most important departments in the business. This is a hands\-on role for someone who takes pride in exceptional standards and enjoys leading a close\-knit team.
The Role
As Deputy Housekeeping Manager, you’ll help ensure our rooms and public areas are beautifully presented and consistently exceed guest expectations. You’ll lead by example, support the daily operation and help motivate and develop the housekeeping team.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Housekeeping Manager with the day\-to\-day running of the department.
Supervising and working alongside the housekeeping team.
Ensuring bedrooms and public areas are cleaned and presented to the highest standards.
Carrying out room inspections and quality checks.
Training and supporting team members to maintain consistency and attention to detail.
Managing linen and housekeeping supplies.
Reporting maintenance issues and helping ensure rooms are guest\-ready.
Supporting stock control and ordering.
Helping create a positive, friendly and professional team culture.
Stepping up to lead the department in the Housekeeping Manager’s absence.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
Has previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience, ideally within hospitality with an eagle eye for detail.
Takes pride in creating beautiful spaces and maintaining exceptional standards.
Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure.
Leads with kindness and positivity.
Has great attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
Is happy to roll up their sleeves and lead from the front.
Weekend availability is essential.
