Customer Quality Engineer (Squeak, Rattle, Water) \- Solihull

The role of Customer Quality Engineer:
  • Lead engineering activities to ensure vehicles meet customer expectations for refinement and quality

  • Conduct complete vehicle testing to identify and resolve Squeak, Rattle, and Water Ingress issues

  • Collaborate with cross\-functional teams across Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality

  • Use industry\-standard quality tools such as 8D and Root Cause Analysis to drive robust solutions

  • Analyse warranty data and customer feedback to continuously improve vehicle performance

  • Plan and organise detailed activities to deliver outcomes that delight customers and differentiate the business from competitors
The ideal Customer Quality Engineer:
  • Proven experience in problem\-solving using tools like 8D, Fishbone, and 5Y analysis

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive effective resolutions

  • Ability to analyse large data sets and translate findings into actionable steps

  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality assurance

  • A proactive and personable approach, with excellent communication and presentation skills
