Commercial Solar Sales Executive

With the recent expansion of Government support and grant opportunities for solar PV, the commercial solar market is entering an exciting period of growth. We are looking to add an experienced and driven Commercial Solar Sales Executive to our team.

The Role

As a Commercial Solar Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new commercial opportunities and guiding businesses through the process of investing in solar PV.

You will work with business owners, property managers and commercial decision\-makers to understand their energy requirements and demonstrate how solar PV, battery storage and available Government supports can help reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency.

This is a full sales role, from generating and qualifying opportunities through to developing the proposal and closing the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new commercial solar opportunities across Ireland.


• Follow up on incoming leads and enquiries generated by Sun Arc's marketing campaigns.


• Meet with business owners and key decision\-makers to understand their energy usage and requirements.


• Carry out commercial site visits and assess potential solar opportunities.


• Explain the financial and energy\-saving benefits of solar PV and battery storage.


• Stay up to date with Government grants, schemes and incentives relevant to commercial customers.


• Prepare and present professional solar proposals and quotations.


• Manage the sales process from initial contact through to contract.


• Build strong, long\-term relationships with commercial customers.


• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotations and sales activity.


• Work closely with Sun Arc's technical, surveying, operations and installation teams to ensure projects are handed over correctly.


• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the continued growth of the commercial division.

Sun Arc currently has a national radio and newspaper advertising campaign running across Ireland, generating awareness and enquiries for our solar services.

This means the successful candidate will benefit from an established national marketing presence and a growing flow of potential customers, alongside their own business development activity.

Government Grants \& Market Growth

The Irish solar market is experiencing significant growth, with the Government expanding support for solar PV and introducing new opportunities for homeowners and businesses.

The successful candidate will be expected to understand the current grant landscape and use these opportunities to help customers understand the financial case for investing in solar.

You will be joining Sun Arc at an exciting time, with increased public awareness, strong demand for renewable energy and significant growth potential in the Irish solar market.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in B2B or commercial sales.


• Previous Solar Sales Experience an advantage


• Confident dealing with business owners and senior decision\-makers.


• Target\-driven and motivated by achieving results.


• Professional, organised and commercially minded.


• Excellent at building relationships.


• Confident presenting proposals and negotiating with customers.


• Comfortable working independently and managing their own pipeline.


• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.


• Full of energy, ambition and drive.


• Ideally experienced in solar, energy, construction or a related industry, although strong sales experience will also be considered.
