Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data to identify cost\-saving opportunities and optimise resource utilisation.


• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to establish budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.


• Prepare detailed reports on cost performance, variances, and forecasts for senior management review.


• Maintain accurate records of resource expenditure and ensure compliance with organisational policies.


• Support the development of financial models to evaluate project viability and profitability.


• Provide guidance on cost\-related issues during project planning, execution, and review phases.


• Continuously review industry best practices related to cost management and incorporate improvements into organisational processes.

• Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, or related roles within the Rail sector.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.


• Proficiency in relevant software applications such as Excel, ERP systems, or specialised cost management tools such as Oracle.


• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non\-financial stakeholders.


• A proactive approach with strong problem\-solving capabilities.


• Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, or business management are desirable but not essential.
