THE ROLE
Responsibilities include:
- Installation of commercial EV charging infrastructure (AC \& DC)
- Containment, cabling, terminations, and final electrical connections
- Testing, inspection, commissioning, and certification
- Installation of charger bases, barriers, ducting, signage, and associated infrastructure
- Minor civils and enabling works where required
- Fault finding and practical problem solving
- Completion of certification, compliance documentation, and project paperwork
- Weekly van stock checks and preparation for upcoming works
- Working safely and professionally on active commercial/customer sites
- Following RAMS, site\-specific health \& safety procedures, and company safe systems of work
- Professional representation of PowerPro EV Ltd on customer sites
This is a nationwide travelling role.
Typical working week:
- Travel to site Monday
- Installation works throughout the week
- Friday is typically allocated to certification, compliance paperwork, stock preparation, and planning for the following week, although site work may occasionally be required depending on workload
Hours typically range between 30–50 hours per week depending on project workload.
Due to the nature of the role and weekly travel arrangements, applicants should be located within approximately 1 hour of Sandbach, Cheshire.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- ECS / CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Commercial electrical installation experience
- Good understanding of health \& safety requirements and safe working practices on active commercial sites
- Experience working to RAMS and site safety procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong workmanship and attention to detail
- Comfortable working away during the week
- Positive, can\-do attitude
- Strong problem\-solving ability and practical common sense
- Friendly, articulate, and professional with customers, site teams, and other trades
- Able to represent PowerPro EV Ltd professionally on customer sites
- 2391 Inspection \& Testing
- 2921 EV Charge Point Installation
- EV charging installation experience
- DC charging experience
- IPAF
- PASMA
- First Aid
- Civils / groundwork experience

- Full training will be provided on all EV charging equipment and systems we install
- Support will be provided for the right candidate to achieve the 2921 EV Charge Point qualification if not already held
- Where training is required for the role, PowerPro EV Ltd will support the candidate in achieving it
- We actively encourage continued professional development and can support additional training or equipment through agreed arrangements where appropriate
WHAT WE OFFER
- £25\.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at 1\.5x hourly rate (£37\.50/hr) for hours worked over 160 hours in a calendar month, subject to workload requirements
- Paid travel time counts toward overtime thresholds
- Paid travel time after the first hour outbound and excluding the final hour of the return journey
