Cleaner (part-time)

Sheppy’s House of Cider was developed in 2017 as a visitor attraction including farm shop, cafe, restaurant and bar. It is establishing its position as Somerset’s premier cider destination, serving tourists and locals alike with a first class experience in all public areas, based on a high level of customer care and attention to detail.

The facility is open seven days a week including Bank Holidays.

Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.

This post is a permanent position. The vacancy is for 4 days out of 7 including weekends (but flexibility may be possible with the co\-operation of the team), amounting to 12 hours.

Hours will be early morning, typically 7am\-10am, but can be discussed at interview.

We are looking for:

• Understanding of health and safety practices within a hospitality environment.

• Clean and maintain reception spaces, foyers, corridors, and public facilities to a high standard.


• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors and surfaces throughout the premises.


• Clean and sanitise tables, chairs, counters, doors, windows, and other high\-touch areas.


• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of entranceways and reception areas.


• Clean and replenish public washrooms, ensuring adequate stocks of soap, toilet paper, and hand towels.


• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in accordance with company procedures.


• Carry out scheduled deep\-cleaning tasks, including carpets, upholstery, and hard\-floor maintenance.


• Report maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns to management.


• Operate cleaning equipment safely and in accordance with training and company guidelines.


• Follow all health, safety, food hygiene, and infection\-control procedures.


• Work collaboratively with front\-of\-house teams to ensure high presentation standards are maintained throughout operating hours.

Hourly rate of pay: Age and experience dependent, based on minimum wage
