The Twig is a busy café in the heart of Bibury, offering great coffee, freshly prepared food, homemade cakes and seasonal specials.
The Twig has grown from a small lockdown project into a popular destination for locals and visitors, and we’re now looking for the right person to help us take it to the next stage.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Café Manager who enjoys being at the heart of a busy operation and takes pride in getting the details right.
This is a hands\-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be responsible for leading the team, looking after our customers, keeping the café running smoothly and making sure the business performs commercially.
You’ll spend time both leading from the front and getting stuck in — whether that's making coffee during a busy morning, helping prepare food, supporting the team or looking at the numbers behind the business.
Your Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of The Twig
- Lead, motivate and support the café team
- Build effective weekly rotas and manage staffing levels
- Recruit, train and develop team members
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service
- Maintain excellent coffee and food standards
- Manage stock ordering, stock levels and wastage
- Monitor sales, labour costs and gross profit
- Assist with managing the café's P\&L
- Complete daily admin and cashing up
- Ensure food safety, health \& safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Manage busy periods effectively and keep the team motivated
- Help develop seasonal menus, specials and products
- Build relationships with regular customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
We’re looking for someone with energy, personality and a genuine passion for hospitality.
You might already be managing a café, or you could be an experienced Assistant Manager or Supervisor who is ready to step up.

Essential:
- At least 2 years' hospitality experience
- Food Safety Level 2
- Previous café, restaurant or deli management experience
- Barista experience
- Experience managing rotas and stock
- Experience with budgets, P\&L or other commercial aspects of hospitality

Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
