Job Purpose
The Business Sales Executive will be responsible for driving high\-value business\-to\-consumer (B2C) sales portfolios and commercial growth initiatives for APJ Juweller UK. The role focuses on developing long\-term sales relationships with premium clients, managing bespoke traditional Indian jewelry accounts, implementing commercial sales acquisition strategies, and expanding the brand’s market share within the UK's luxury jewelry sector.
Core Responsibilities \& Duties
- High\-Value Client Portfolio Management: Serve as the dedicated sales executive for premium clients purchasing investment\-grade 22k/24k gold, bridal diamond sets, and rare gemstones. Manage the end\-to\-end sales lifecycle for bespoke commissions and high\-value orders.
- Business Development \& Market Expansion: Proactively identify and engage new customer segments within the UK’s South Asian diaspora and international luxury markets. Develop tailored outreach campaigns, coordinate exclusive private viewing events, and build strategic partnerships to increase store turnover and private client acquisitions.
- Technical Product Consulting \& Quality Liaison: Utilize advanced product knowledge to consult clients on gemstone grading (4Cs), precious metal purity, and traditional craftsmanship styles. Liaise directly with international manufacturing units (including APJ groups globally) to ensure bespoke designs strictly meet UK hallmarking standards and client specifications.
- Commercial Strategy \& Sales Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on luxury retail market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and consumer buying behaviors in the UK. Adjust sales targets and product positioning strategies to maximize profitability and inventory turnover.
- Transaction Management \& Compliance: Oversee the commercial terms, secure high\-value transaction processing, and ensure strict compliance with UK anti\-money laundering (AML) regulations for high\-volume transactions. Manage after\-sales pipelines, valuations, and long\-term client retention strategies.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of demonstrable success in jewelry sales, high\-value account management, or premium retail operations across international markets (experience with major Middle Eastern, South Asian, or South\-East Asian jewelry networks is highly preferred).
- Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of luxury gemstones, traditional gold markets, and premium client management systems. Fluency in English alongside relevant South Asian languages (such as Hindi, Telugu, or Tamil) is required to successfully manage the target demographic portfolio.
