Business Development Manager – Overseas Netherlands (M/F)

Mission

Within XPO’s Strategic Development team in Netherlands, the Business Development Manager – Overseas will be responsible for accelerating the growth of XPO’s international transport and logistics activities in the Polish market. The role focuses on identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on customers with complex international transport and supply chain requirements. The BDM will leverage XPO’s international network and Overseas capabilities to develop tailor\-made solutions, build long\-term customer relationships and drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for XPO’s Overseas and international transport solutions in Poland.


• Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and strategic opportunities.


• Prospect new customers and develop relationships with key decision\-makers across procurement, logistics, transport and supply chain functions.


• Understand customers’ international supply chain requirements and identify opportunities for XPO to create value.


• Promote XPO’s portfolio of international transport and logistics solutions, including Ocean Freight, Air Freight, multimodal transport, freight forwarding, customs and end\-to\-end supply chain solutions.


• Develop and manage international transport flows connecting Poland with European and global markets.


• Identify new trade lanes, customers and business opportunities to support the growth of the Overseas activity.


• Analyse market developments, customer needs and competitive dynamics to identify potential areas for growth.


• Coordinate with XPO’s international network and internal teams to design tailor\-made and commercially competitive solutions.


• Lead the commercial process from prospecting and qualification through solution design, tender management, negotiation and contract signature.


• Prepare and present commercial proposals and business cases in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.


• Negotiate commercial agreements while ensuring profitability and compliance with XPO’s standards and policies.


• Monitor business performance through relevant commercial KPIs, including pipeline, revenue, margin, conversion and new business.


• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Pricing, Solutions Design, Procurement and international XPO teams to deliver customer\-focused solutions.


• Represent XPO at customer meetings, industry events and relevant business forums in Netherlands and internationally.


• Travel regularly within Poland and internationally according to business requirements.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.


• Proven and successful experience in Business Development, Sales or Key Account Management within the transport, logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain industry.


• Strong knowledge of the international transport and logistics market.


• Previous experience in Overseas / international freight forwarding is highly desirable.


• Proven track record of identifying and winning new business.


• Strong understanding of international supply chains and import/export flows.


• Experience with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce.


• Fluent English and Dutch are required.


• Willingness to travel in Netherlands and internationally.
