Assistant Warehouse Manager (Required driving reach truck experiences)

Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager *(Growth track to Warehouse Manager)*

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an organized, hands\-on, and ambitious Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the daily oversight of our warehouse operations. This position requires strong hands\-on operational capability—specifically, high proficiency in operating a reach truck—combined with the potential and strategic drive to step into the full Warehouse Manager role in the future. You will lead by example on the warehouse floor, step in to handle high\-level reach truck operations when needed, and work closely with the Warehouse Manager to optimize workflows and build team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in directing, planning, and overseeing daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, shipping).

  • Hands\-on Operations: Actively operate reach trucks for high\-rack storage and complex material handling, setting safety and efficiency standards for the team.

  • Leadership Development: Shadow the Warehouse Manager to master operational planning, budget management, KPI tracking, and vendor relations in preparation for future advancement.

  • Supervise floor staff, assign daily duties, motivate the team, and train new personnel on equipment usage and safety standards.

  • Monitor inventory accuracy, conduct regular audits, and resolve stock discrepancies using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

  • Act as the primary point of contact and decision\-maker for floor operations when the Warehouse Manager is off\-site.

  • Identify process bottlenecks and spearhead continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce lead times.

Requirements \& Qualifications:
  • 2–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with prior team leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Valid Reach Truck Certificate / License and demonstrated expertise in reach truck driving.

  • Demonstrated ambition and potential to step into a full Warehouse Manager role.

  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong leadership, problem\-solving, and decision\-making capabilities with a willingness to be hands\-on on the floor.

  • Excellent spatial awareness, safety focus, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Job Types: Full\-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: €2\.900,00 \- €3\.300,00 per month
