Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Duties

• Assist in preparing and analyzing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for various construction projects


• Support procurement activities by obtaining quotes, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating prices to secure the best value


• Monitor project expenditure and track costs to ensure adherence to budgets, identifying potential overruns early


• Assist in preparing tender documentation, contract administration, and variation assessments


• Maintain accurate records of project costs, invoices, and contractual documentation for transparency and audit purposes


• Collaborate with project teams to identify cost\-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety


• Support the implementation of cost control measures throughout all project phases

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field


• Strong understanding of cost control principles within the construction industry


• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy


• Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and team members


• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with industry\-specific software is a plus


• Ability to work proactively in a fast\-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively
