A Façade Fabricator is responsible for the manufacture and assembly of aluminium façade systems including curtain walling, windows, doors, cladding panels, flashings, and architectural glazing components. The role involves reading technical drawings, operating fabrication machinery, assembling components to specification, and ensuring all products meet company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate aluminium façade systems including:
- Curtain walling
- Windows and doors
- Cladding panels
- Rooflights and flashings
- Unitised façade systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication details, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, drill, machine, crimp, and assemble aluminium components accurately.
- Operate hand tools and workshop machinery including:
- Saws
- Drills
- Crimpers
- Grinders
- CNC machinery
- Assemble and glaze aluminium frames and panels.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Work to production schedules and daily targets.
- Ensure compliance with health \& safety procedures and workshop housekeeping standards.
- Assist with packing, material handling, and loading when required.
- Experience in aluminium fabrication, curtain walling, or façade systems.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of aluminium systems and glazing methods.
- Competent using fabrication tools and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health \& safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding or CNC experience advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience in façade/window/door fabrication preferred.
- Manual handling and safe pass/forklift licences beneficial.
- Trade qualification in metal fabrication or engineering advantageous.
- Workshop/manufacturing environment.
- Manual handling and standing for extended periods.
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
