Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various domestic, commercial and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in mechanical systems, with a focus on ensuring optimal operation and efficiency of cooling equipment. The position requires strong leadership qualities, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high\-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.

  • Troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals, diagnosing faults accurately.

  • Lead maintenance projects, supervising junior staff or apprentices as required.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to facilitate installation and repairs.

  • Perform equipment upgrades or modifications to improve system performance or adapt to new requirements.

  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

  • Liaise with clients to assess their needs, provide expert advice, and recommend suitable solutions for climate control systems.

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications for future reference.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair within commercial or industrial settings.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and associated equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals accurately.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.

  • Skilled in equipment repair with a focus on efficiency and durability.

  • Knowledge of construction processes related to HVAC system installation is advantageous.

  • Excellent problem\-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively.

  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration \& Air Conditioning or equivalent are preferred. Pay: £30,086\.61\-£49,909\.74 per year
