Who are we?
EverGlade Care is a brand new company, opening their first children's home in Doncaster. Willow Cottage is a 6 bedroom home where up to 3 children can live together with social and emotional difficulties until they are 18 years old. We are passionate about supporting children to feel loved, safe and feel a sense of belonging in their lives. We use Love led practice and ensure all our Adults are trained on this. The company is run by a Director who has experience in the sector, supported by an experienced Responsible Individual who has previously achieved Outstanding ratings and won awards. We have an enthusiastic Manager in place to support the team who has worked in children's homes for over 7 years.

If you do not already hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, you will be expected to complete this with us within 2 years.

The Role
The Therapeutic Carer role is an on shift role and will run on a 2 on 4 off rota pattern where you will stay at work for 48 hours then have 4 days off. The role includes sleep in shifts. There are expectations of flexibility in the role to attend training, team meetings and internal and external events to support the children.
The Pay
The pay ranges from £12\.50 to £13\.50 depending on experience and qualifications. Sleep in's are paid at an additional £60 per night. On Call payments will be made additional to this.
Responsibilities
- Understand and work within the company's ethos and values
- Attend meetings and completing manager documents
- Create loving and genuine connections with the children
- Providing a safe home and protect children and others from harm
- Work in a trauma informed and trauma responsive way
- Update relevant paperwork such as care plans and risk assessments
- Complete direct work with children in creative ways to support their learning
- Comply with the regulations and standards in place
- You do not require any experience in this role, just a positive attitude and genuine caring personality. All training and qualifications will be provided.
