Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Young Carers Project Manager to lead and coordinate our support programmes for young carers. The successful candidate will oversee programme delivery, manage relationships with stakeholders, and ensure that young carers receive the highest quality of support. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community by empowering young carers and their families. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, experience in programme coordination, and a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable groups.
Duties
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of programmes tailored for young carers.
- Manage relationships with partner organisations, schools, and community groups to promote programme awareness and collaboration.
- Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and training of staff and volunteers involved in the project.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and funding requirements through effective administration and record\-keeping.
- Organise regular meetings, workshops, and events for young carers to foster peer support and skill development.
- Monitor programme outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and prepare reports for stakeholders and funders.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to maximise programme impact.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in managing complex cases or challenging situations involving young carers.
- Proven experience in relationship management within community or social care settings.
- Strong administrative experience with excellent organisational skills.
- Demonstrated management experience, including supervising teams or volunteers.
- Previous programme management experience is essential, ideally within youth or social care sectors.
- Familiarity with issues faced by young carers is desirable but not mandatory; a compassionate approach is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast\-paced environment.
