About the role

Based in Media Works, Imperial’s open\-plan office space close to the White City campus, the Workplace Host is at the heart of front\-of\-house operations within this busy, dynamic facility. Working with operational colleagues to provide a warm welcome and ensure that services function at a five\-star standard for all users, you will play an important role in upholding an exciting and inspiring workplace experience for staff, visitors and VIPs at Imperial’s Professional Services Hub.
Current Imperial employees should discuss with their Line Manager whether a secondment opportunity would be approved to be able to gain valuable experience in an exciting front facing role.
What you would be doing

We are looking for a fixed term appointment from 01\.07\.26\-22\.12\.26 and in this role, you will act as the face of front\-of\-house services within the Media Works facility. You’ll provide a warm welcome and an outstanding concierge\-style reception service, ensuring that queries and concerns from building users are addressed efficiently and effectively.
Making access to the facility as smooth as possible for users, you’ll manage visitors, issue passes and arrange parking, as well as set up meeting rooms, create and update signage and monitor the cleanliness and working order of the building and its contents. You’ll work with the Property Facilities Manager, colleagues and external contractors to solve maintenance issues swiftly, and coordinate postal services and deliveries throughout Media Works.
What we are looking for

- Experience of providing first\-class customer service in a busy environment
- Someone who is highly personable, with excellent communication skills
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to coordinate with a large team of colleagues
- A self\-starter who is flexible, proactive and adaptable.
- Intermediate understanding of MS Office applications and basic knowledge of visitor management/room booking systems
- GCSE grades A\*\-C/9\-4, including English and Maths
