Web Developer Intern

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Web Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Assist in designing and implementing responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.


• Support the development of server\-side applications using technologies like Node.js, Django, ASP.NET, or Ruby on Rails.


• Contribute to database management tasks involving MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or SQLite; including writing queries and optimising performance.


• Collaborate on integrating RESTful APIs and Web services to enhance application functionality.


• Participate in version control activities using Git or SVN; contribute to continuous integration processes with Jenkins or GitHub workflows.


• Engage in wireframing and UX/UI design processes to improve user experience and visual appeal of web applications.


• Assist with deployment tasks on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; utilise tools like Docker for containerisation and Ansible for configuration management.


• Support testing activities including unit testing and debugging to ensure high\-quality deliverables.


• Contribute to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) by documenting processes and participating in code reviews.

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree programme (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.


• Basic knowledge of front\-end development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.


• Familiarity with back\-end technologies such as Node.js, Django, ASP.NET (.NET), Ruby on Rails, or PHP.


• Experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), MongoDB or SQLite; including writing queries and data modelling.


• Understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience integrating APIs into web applications.


• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN; experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is advantageous.


• Exposure to cloud services (AWS or Azure) and containerisation tools (Docker).


• Strong organisational skills with proficiency in project management tools such as Trello or Jira.


• Excellent problem\-solving abilities and a keen interest in software development best practices including DevOps principles and system architecture design. Pay: £24,900\.00\-£25,780\.00 per year
