Warehouse Operative

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. Responsibilities

• Handling materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment


• Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery in accordance with health and safety regulations


• Managing stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records


• Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch


• Loading and unloading lorries with heavy or bulky items


• Organising stock storage areas, replenishing shelves, and maintaining a tidy workspace


• Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures to ensure timely deliveries


• Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods


• Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks where required to ensure equipment remains operational

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred


• Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures


• Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred but not essential)


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently


• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is desirable


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and stock management


• Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle manual tasks effectively


• Previous experience in shipping \& receiving, stock replenishment, or quality control roles is beneficial
