Responsibilities
- Handle materials efficiently by loading and unloading shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process shipping and receiving documentation
- Pick and pack items accurately according to order specifications, ensuring timely preparation for dispatch
- Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimize space and facilitate easy access for team members
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to maintain high standards of accuracy and safety
- Assist with mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance or troubleshooting as needed
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for shipment, verifying contents, and coordinating with carriers
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting with familiarity in materials handling, picking \& packing, and stock management
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is highly desirable but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software to streamline operations
- Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of warehouse equipment maintenance or troubleshooting skills
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, load \& unload activities, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and quality checks
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety protocols and operational procedures
Pay: £12\.50\-£14\.90 per hour
Expected hours: 48\.0 – 60\.0 per week
