Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Warehouse/Logistics Operative to join our close‑knit team of five. In this hands‑on role, you will support day‑to‑day warehouse operations including goods\-in, stock control, order fulfilment, and dispatch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a small, collaborative environment where everyone contributes to the smooth running of the operation. Initially offered as a 6\-month fixed\-term contract, this role has excellent potential to become a permanent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Carry out stock replenishment and rotation to maintain accuracy and product quality.
- Perform regular stock checks and assist with annual inventory counts.
- Use warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks, forklifts — if licensed).
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including packaging, labelling, and arranging shipments.
- Coordinate with couriers and transport partners to ensure timely collections.
- Maintain accurate shipping and delivery records.
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report damaged stock, discrepancies, or hazards promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse area.
- Work collaboratively with your small team to meet daily and weekly targets.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues in operations, customer service, and purchasing.
- Support colleagues during busy periods — a flexible, “muck in” attitude is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move goods safely.
- Basic IT skills (e.g., using handheld scanners, warehouse software, email).
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A team‑player mindset suited to a small, supportive team.
· Previous experience in warehousing, logistics
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
- Experience working with inventory or logistics systems.
- Knowledge of courier systems and dispatch processes.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to take initiative and work independently when required.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
