Job Overview:
We are seeking a versatile and reliable Goods In / Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including unloading deliveries and replenishment, stock control, returns inspection, picking, packing and assembly. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all warehouse operations at our Hailsham depot are carried out efficiently, accurately, and safely with the team.
This role will also support the goods in and warehouse operations of our group companies at our Hailsham depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the receipt of goods, checking deliveries against purchase orders.
- Support the team in unloading container deliveries.
- Organise incoming goods in the correct locations.
- Support in inspecting returned items to determine their condition and process them for re\-stocking, disposal or query.
- Accurately pick products according to customer orders, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Assemble product kits or packs as required, ensuring all components are included and packaged correctly.
- Pack items securely to ensure safe transport and delivery, meeting quality standards.
- Label packages accurately and ensure all necessary documentation is included.
- Prepare orders for despatch, ensuring they are ready for shipment on time.
- Be compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in a warehouse operations, goods in or a similar role.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and stock control.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations.
- Proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry products as required.
- 25 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays.

- 08:30 – 17:30, Monday – Friday with two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break.
- A very flexible approach to these hours is required to ensure all tasks and projects are completed.
- The Goods In / Warehouse Operative reports to the Warehouse Manager.
