Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse and Production Operative to join our team. This role combines warehouse operations, stock control, and production activities within a medical devices environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing products and equipment, supporting assembly processes, and carrying out quality control activities to ensure high standards are maintained throughout.
Responsibilities
Stock Control \& Warehouse Operations
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems, ensuring products are correctly identified, stored, and tracked.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly report stock shortages, discrepancies, or damaged items.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Pick, pack, and prepare products, equipment, and orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.
- Use stock management systems and scanning equipment to record and track stock movements.
- Ensure products and components are stored safely and securely to maintain quality and traceability.
- Load and unload deliveries safely while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Assemble products and components in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently (following training and authorisation).
- Carry out product inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic checks on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and production operations.
- Assist other operational departments as required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role as required by management
- Previous warehouse, stock control, manufacturing, or production experience is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of inventory management and stock control processes would be advantageous.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Practical problem\-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Basic computer skills and experience using stock management systems are desirable.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, COSHH, or health and safety procedures would be an advantage.
Pay: £30,000\.00 per year
