Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Venue and Bar Supervisor to oversee day\-to\-day operations and lead the team during shifts. This is a hands\-on role, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in running smooth, well\-organised events.
You will be the senior point of contact on shift, ensuring staff are supported, parties run to schedule, standards are upheld, and customers leave with a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily venue operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead the delivery of parties and events, ensuring timings, room setups, and transitions run smoothly.
- Manage multiple bookings in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining control and attention to detail.
- Work closely with the General Manager to prepare for upcoming bookings, peak periods, and seasonal demand.
- Supervise, support, and motivate staff during shifts.
- Lead by example, maintaining professionalism, energy, and clear communication.
- Ensure new staff are inducted and trained effectively.
- Provide on\-the\-spot guidance and problem\-solving when issues arise.
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
- Act as the main point of contact for parents and group organisers during events.
- Handle customer queries or complaints calmly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health \& safety and environmental health regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation across all areas.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for staff, guests, and children at all times.
- Oversee cash handling, till reconciliation, and accurate sales recording.
- Manage stock levels, inventory checks, and ordering in line with company procedures.
- Use POS systems and basic computer software confidently.
- Support revenue growth by promoting party packages, upgrades, and merchandise where appropriate.
- Encourage staff to upsell as part of a positive customer experience.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality, leisure, or events.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, approachable manner.
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.
- A practical, solution\-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
