BMH Tutors is a well established tutoring company in Birmingham and has been in business for many years. We provide tutoring for 11\+ exam preparations, and Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English upto A Levels. We have upgraded our facility for A Levels Business, Geography and Computer Science clients also.

Job Title: Math and Physics Tutor (GCSE \& A\-Level)

Location: In\-Person

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Tutor to support students preparing for GCSE and A\-Level exams in Math and Physics. The ideal candidate must have strong subject knowledge and a passion for helping students excel academically. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to individual/small groups of students, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, and ensuring students gain confidence and mastery in their subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver structured and engaging science lessons tailored to GCSE and A\-Level curricula.

  • Provide clear explanations of complex concepts, focusing on exam techniques and problem\-solving skills.

  • Assess students’ progress through regular testing, feedback, and performance tracking.

  • Adapt lessons to cater to different learning needs, including students aiming for top grades and those needing extra support.

  • Help students develop effective revision strategies and exam techniques to maximize their potential.

  • Stay updated with curriculum changes and exam board requirements (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.).

  • Offer constructive feedback and progress reports to students and, if applicable, their parents/guardians.
Requirements:
  • A degree in a relevant field.

  • Proven experience in teaching/tutoring GCSE and A\-Level subjects.

  • Strong understanding of exam board specifications and mark schemes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.

  • Ability to motivate and build confidence in students.

  • \*Optional\* A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS) or tutoring certification is desirable.
