This is a full time, permanent position with 37\.5 hours contracted per week. Working hours are any 5 days out of 7, working on a rotational shift of 06:00 to 14\.00 and 14\.00 to 22\.00\.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,804\.45 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and inspire a team of Transport Clerks and Drivers, reporting into the Transport Shift Manager
- Motivate your team to hit targets and deadlines through clear guidance, coaching, and support
- Drive operational performance by achieving daily and weekly KPIs using transport management systems
- Ensure a first\-class service while maintaining full compliance with legal, licence, and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in a transport environment, with unionised experience a plus
- Strong understanding of transport systems, driver management tools, and relevant legislation
- Confident people leader with excellent interpersonal and team management skills
- Skilled at building stakeholder relationships and influencing performance through accountability and ownership
