Job Overview
The Finance Officer is a pivotal part of the management team and provides a key function for all aspects of the finance procedures along with Office Management.
They are the first point of contact for both customers and suppliers in relation to accounts queries as well as day to day support for the 2 Directors.
Key Responsibilities, but are not limited to: \-
- All aspects of the account function for both sales and purchase ledger
- Raising purchase orders when necessary
- Preparation of day to day accounts up to and including Management Accounts
- Posting of journals to L\&L and Balance Sheet
- Monthly and quarterly VAT processing and returns to HMRC
- Monthly credit card reconciliation
- Account reconciliations
- Daily cashflow, budgeting and forecasting through Excel to support the MD
- All aspects of Payroll using Excel and Payroll Manager 100 software. Logging of production hours from clock\-cards through to running the monthly payroll for all employees, PAYE, NI and pension contributions
- HR Support keeping holiday and sickness records up to date and using the external company Solutions for HR for contractual issues
- Day to day running of the office, stationary \& kitchen supply replenishment, post in, ad\-hoc duties assigned by the MD and Technical Director
- Building and maintaining good relationships with customers and suppliers
- Managing filing and record keeping
- Adhering to administrative systems and processes, and always complying with company policies and procedures
- Relevant qualification of Level 4 AAT or QBE
- Computer literate and competent in MS Office, in specific Excel
- Working knowledge of Sage 50
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
