Contract Type: Permanent (Full\-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 6am \- 2pm

Location: Based in Lutterworth at the moment but relocating to Daventry in July

We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to lead our operations and drive success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Take leadership responsibility for managing a safe and efficient transport environment.

  • To maximise the performance of drivers and supervisors by directing the nightly, weekly and monthly activities.

  • Analysing and understanding health and safety related risks for our colleagues, take action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritized plan

  • Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks

  • Leverage Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily way to confirm behaviors and processes

  • Report and investigate incidents within the work place and respond to or escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures

  • Implement and supervise the adherence of up to date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs

  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs

  • Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions

  • Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan

  • Conduct regular reviews on operational performance and delivery against the agreed KPIs

  • Escalate any areas of non complaince or failure to line manager and where applicable escalate to the senior team

  • Management of Subcontractorand help implement agreed processes to review performance,

  • Leads regular operational performance reviews with colleagues with focus on H\&S and Legal Compliance, overall efficiency of the operation in line with targets and performance via Performance Dialogs

  • Foster Collaboration: Build a strong team culture that values communication, accountability and teamwork. Together, we'll achieve great results!
