Transport & Dispatch Coordinator
About us
Royal Bathrooms is a fast\-growing UK e\-commerce bathroom retailer, dispatching thousands of orders every month through our in\-house delivery fleet alongside national parcel and pallet networks. We operate from our headquarters in Kingswinford, West Midlands, and are entering an exciting period of growth with a planned move to a new consolidated warehouse.
Role overview
We are looking for a hands\-on Transport \& Dispatch Coordinator to support the day\-to\-day running of our transport operation. You will be the central point of contact for our drivers throughout the day, working closely with the warehouse and customer service teams to keep deliveries running smoothly.
This is an operationally focused role suited to someone who enjoys problem\-solving, communicating with drivers and customers, and keeping a busy logistics operation moving. Responsibilities will be introduced in stages as you build up familiarity with our systems and ways of working.
Key responsibilities
Dispatch and routing
- Assign daily delivery routes to in\-house drivers using our transport management system (Stream) and ERP system (Linnworks)
- Sort and prepare orders for dispatch in coordination with the warehouse team
- Book pallet shipments , Royal mail and DHL parcel collections for orders not running on the in\-house fleet
- Monitor live progress of deliveries throughout the day and update the customer service team on delays or changes
- Act as the primary point of contact for drivers throughout their shifts — handling route queries, delays, vehicle issues, and customer\-related questions
- Coordinate driver arrival, vehicle loading, and end\-of\-shift returns
- Keep accurate records of driver activity and delivery completion
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and coordinate scheduled maintenance with garages and dealerships
- Move vehicles to and from garages and dealerships as required (a full UK driving license is essential for this part of the role — not for delivery runs)
- Maintain accurate records of MOT, service, and vehicle status across the fleet
- Produce daily and weekly transport activity reports for the Head of Operations
- Support cost\-efficient routing within agreed parameters
- Provide professional and timely responses to customer queries about deliveries
- Experience in dispatch, transport coordination, fleet administration, or warehouse logistics
- Confident communicator — comfortable on the phone with drivers, customers, and team members throughout the day
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast\-paced environment
- Familiarity with transport management or fleet software is highly advantageous (full training will be provided)
- Full UK driving license — required for moving vehicles to and from garages and dealerships
- Practical, problem\-solving approach with a willingness to learn
- Hours: Approximately 11:00–20:00 Sunday to Thursday , with some flexibility, to cover afternoon and evening dispatch.
