Transport Customer Services Coordinator – Pallet Network Depot

Job Summary

Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service within a busy pallet network depot, acting as the key point of contact for customers, drivers, and network members. The role involves managing delivery and collection enquiries, tracking consignments, resolving service issues, coordinating with transport operations, and ensuring customer expectations are met while maintaining high service standards.

Hours are usual office hours but these can be discussed on interview.

Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding pallet deliveries, collections, and consignment enquiries.

  • Monitor and track pallet shipments through the network and provide timely updates to customers.

  • Investigate and resolve delivery issues, delays, shortages, damages, and customer complaints.

  • Process collection requests and ensure all relevant information is accurately entered into transport management systems.

  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding service updates, delivery schedules, and operational disruptions.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, consignment statuses, and service failures.

  • Assist in the administration of proof of delivery (POD) requests and customer documentation.

  • Support the achievement of depot service level agreements (SLAs) and network performance targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and network partners.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous customer service experience within transport, logistics, freight, or pallet network operations.

  • Strong communication and relationship\-building skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced transport environment.

  • Excellent problem\-solving and organisational abilities.

  • Experience using transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple customer enquiries simultaneously.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when processing transport information.

  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and service performance.

  • Minimise service failures through proactive communication and issue resolution.

  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of pallet consignments.

  • Support efficient depot operations through effective coordination with transport and warehouse teams.

  • Contribute to the achievement of network delivery and collection targets.
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£34,000\.00 per year
