Transport Customer Service Coordinator

About the role

We're looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our Pallet Network team. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, making sure their freight is delivered on time, every time, and that any queries are handled quickly, professionally and with a smile.

This is a busy, varied role at the heart of our network. You'll work closely with drivers, warehouse colleagues and our pallet network partners to keep deliveries and collections running smoothly, while keeping customers informed every step of the way.

What you'll be doing

• Ensuring customer freight is delivered on time, every time, and actioning re\-charges where needed


• Keeping customers updated on ETAs and any issues, particularly Key Accounts


• Making sure customer PODs and COPs are logged on the system by close of play


• Inputting \& updating customer consignments


• Answering and responding to incoming calls \& emails promptly and politely


• Handling customer queries and concerns professionally and courteously


• Liaising with drivers to ensure deliveries are made on time and in full


• Working with pallet network partners to ensure deliveries and collections are achieved on time and in full

• Previous experience in a customer service or coordination role (ideally within transport, logistics or a similar fast\-paced environment)


• Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills


• A calm, organised approach and the ability to juggle multiple priorities


• Confidence using IT systems, with the ability to pick up new software quickly


• A team player who works well with drivers, warehouse staff and colleagues across the business


• A professional, friendly and customer\-focused attitude

Working hours 09:00 \- 17:30 Monday to Friday
